My next great master piece

Spent a lot of time searching for a great wv picture. Most of the ones I really like I think would be too complicated. I am hoping for some inspiration tonight.

Cutting, grinding and foiling my way along.

Here are some photos of me and the class at work. Thursday evening I finished foiling my glass but now two of the pieces don't fit. I'm either going to grind them down or cut new ones. I chose a lighter green for the middle and I think it looks much better. What do you think?

Well, I've completed my second day of cutting glass and I'm still enjoying it very much. Most of my breaks are doing pretty well but I'm not entirely satisfied with my color selection. I was envisioning something in green and white for Marshall but its just not working for me. I think I'll switch out the dark green for a lighter tint or maybe I'll go with something altogether different. I keep waiting for an epiphany but nothing yet. Wish me luck.

My introduction

Hello,
My name is Allen Payne and this is my first year teaching art at Highlawn elementary. After 32 years in television broadcasting I have begun a new career in teaching.

I have always been fascinated with stained glass and I hope to share my curiosity with my students. I am not entirely sure how to do that with elementary children.
